Looks more to me like a desert lerk, whether or not its supposed to be gritty doesn't matter since it turned out good anyways. It'd be interesting to see what the other aliens look like with a similar reskin.

I like it, the rock/earth skin suits the lerk rather well. The only thing i am currently missing is (take a guess) eyes.
