    I'll recycle base if my marines are about to be overrun (as in a few onii in base about to kill a spawning marine. I tend to not like my marines having no chance and dying), or if aliens are just extending the game.

    But I always hope for a completely stupid relocation, LIKE ONE INTO A VENT! <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.natural-selection.org/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin-fix.gif' /><!--endemo--> <!--QuoteEnd--></td></tr></table><div class='postcolor'><!--QuoteEEnd-->
    Yeah, that or alamoing at the end of the game is always fun. <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.natural-selection.org/forums/html//emoticons/smile-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile-fix.gif' /><!--endemo--> <!--QuoteEnd--></td></tr></table><div class='postcolor'><!--QuoteEEnd-->
    wrong, it isnt :O

    if i see my base full of aliens, the respawn queu full and the obs is gone, i sell everything and jump out. no point in spending another half a minute watching the fades kill everything else first, then the ip's. <!--QuoteEnd--></td></tr></table><div class='postcolor'><!--QuoteEEnd-->
    You don't know what "alamoing" is then.

    This is before the aliens have succeeded in running over the marines, but after the game has pretty much been decided and there are onos/fades outside your base. See how long you can hold them off without turrets or structure blocking, on only one rt and rfk. This usually ends with multiple beacons, and/or the occasional rambo-pg to a hive that gets lvl3 lmg-ed down. Then, phase gets raped, the hive goes right back up, and most likely by then the aliens have overrun the base. Recycle everything but arms lab and obs, and BACON until res goes bye bye. Then recycle the arms lab and beacon again. All that's left at this point should be the cc, so NOW the com can hop out and die.

    That's alamoing. And it's fun as hell. Don't diss the alamo. Infinitely more fun than the com just blandly recycling everything and saying "To hell with this game," give your marines a little more time to shoot stuff, run around, see how far away from ms they can get without getting killed (surprisingly easy if no one has sof). Plus you won't get yelled at by people who still want to play the (hopeless) game.

    [edit]@drummerman: votekick is way to slow to stop a recycling....cause the entire team has to be able to vote asap, and by that time he's started the recycling on everything, and it can't be stopped......

    Let's see....I said that alamoing is fun.....to which he responded that it isn't, and then said that it (alamoing) isn't fun because the aliens are in the base, spawn camping or doing whatever.

    I was correcting him, and describing what I define as "alamoing", because he disagreed with what I described as fun because he had an incorrect definition of what I was talking about.

    Therefore, he wasn't talking about when an Alamo falls, because he referred directly to "alamoing" as when "my base full of aliens, the respawn queu full and the obs is gone", which it <u>isn't</u>, by my definition. In the case of the Alamo falling, it's not an Alamo anymore is it, therefore it isn't fun anymore. The game is over, and if the aliens just spawncamp then hopefully there's an admin around to kick them, otherwise yes the com should recycle the ips.

    It is unfortunately not. There is a "vote" command, for kicking players, in CS and most Steam mods, but not in NS. No idea why.
