Efficient ability uses?

<div class="IPBDescription">Abilities</div>First off, I would like some insight on how to effectively use the Blink ability. I was able to get it working (somewhat) using a combination of holding the attack button and jumping, but I'm still kinda foggy on how it works.

I also don't quite understand, if its as complicated as I think it is to use, how effective this skill really is. I was doing some minor testing, and I couldn't get it to teleport through walls. I recall reading that you can do this?

Anyways, I would enjoy some feedback on the effective use of the blink ability. Also, feel free to post questions about other abilities/traits, hopefully helping over-all awareness of the game increase.

I don't know how blink works either, someone said to duck and use it and it works but I haven't tested that out yet.  I don't know if its a bug or what but blink is really nice when it works, teleport right up next to the marine who is shooting you and kill them.

I know it. Because of the lag it doesent work good. You need to double klick or even more, make 2-4 fast klicks and it should work. Does anyone know how i can change waepon very fast? because when i use blink then i have no waepon and i need to switch trough my waepon, and when you stand in front of a marine this is deadly....

Wow what a joke that we dont know 100% positively how to use blink. It is not a lag related thing because today i was getting 50 ping and i attempted to practice blinking with only problems. I crouched as some people told me to do. I crouch and used attack which made blink work 1/4 of the time. I jump and pessed attack and that blinked 3/4 of the time. These ratios are not prommissing when in a battle.
Hopefully---A more in depth manual or something will explain this thouroughly.

    a) Blink will not teleport you through walls. It's supposed to let you gap big distances in battle and thus allow quick closing in to melee ranges, which it can do very well.

    b) Blink is more than a little b0rked at the moment - this is an issue we thought was fixed, but sadly reappeared. For now, the jump+fire solution is the safest bet.

Blink works by teleporting you across distances fast like Nemesis Zero said, if you touch any geometry (walls, doors and even marines and buildings i think) it stops.

So if you use it in a tight corridor chances are your gonna hit the roof, walls or floor within about a foot so you dont blink, if you use it in a large open space it works wonders.

Also ive found that walking forward and duck-jumping at the same time helps in smaller areas.

This is just my opinion tho. Take it how you will.

Blink will typically work for me when I aim the crosshair up, to a wide open space and fire. I teleport and fall down. I don't think this is how its supposed to work but doing this almost always teleports me. Its hard to get to work in corridors and its very unreliable. Its always fun getting a Fade back near the Marine commander and wailing away 5 minutes in the match.
