<div class="IPBDescription">How To Set One Up</div> If you go to options/advanced theres a space where u can enter an alternate music directory. Now i tried putting mine it and it doesnt do anything. So... heres my questions :

1. Does the Music Play Automatically? If not how do u start it.
2. Does it accept windows media player/winamp playlists, or does it have to be just the music files themself. When i tried to set this up i chose a winamp playlist.

-Thnx for any help guys

    The music should play automatically, but I don't think it plays from playlists. Shortcuts to music files should work, though (although I may be wrong on both accounts).

    As far as i know NS randomly selects a mp3 file within the directory you specified (i'm not sure if it uses sub directories, too). If you don't want to use the original NS music/ambient you can specify a different location for the mp3s by using
    <!--c1--></div><table border='0' align='center' width='95%' cellpadding='3' cellspacing='1'><tr><td><b>CODE</b> </td></tr><tr><td id='CODE'><!--ec1-->cl_musicdirectory "C:\folder\another_folder\mp3s\"<!--c2--></td></tr></table><div class='postcolor'><!--ec2-->
    in your config/console. Just replace the path in this example with the path you want to use.

    The is (or was) a bug that would stop playing music after the first song; you can manually change to the next track by binding a key to the command "nexttrack".

    Hope that helps

    Sound is such an important part of playing the game properly that you really should turn off ambient sounds and concentrate on things like footsteps.
    But that spoils the atmosphere.

    Mind you, playing NS whilst listening to Maiden's "Wicker Man" would also do nothign for the atmosphere.... :S
