<div class="IPBDescription">Godfathers of map hear my prayer</div> My light environment goes through the func_seethroughs.
I know outdoor areas are not wanted
but i have done one so is there any way to prevent light_environment from shining through my func_seethrough?

    Do you need to have sky texture above your func seethrough? Can you just replace it with a null brush or something?

    Ahh, so it's an indoor area set within an outdoor area. No... not really anything I can think of to fix that. Func_seethroughs can be a pain because they don't have all the nice rendering options of func_walls and so on. You might add lighting inside the building to blend with the external light or drown it out, so it's not as obvious.

    you copy your func seethrough, paint all faces with the null texture, change the entity to func_wall, set light parameter opaque, put the func_wall at the same place as the seethrough.
    im not sure if the comm can place buildings inside the bunker then but you should try that out

    Comms can't drop structures through func_walls. <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/sad-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    since the whole bunker is just one func seethrough, i assume its not too big, you can make the upper parts of the bunker seethrough only and the "walls" of it to a func_wall with opaque. If you give the light the right angles you should have a dark bunker

    Does your level really need to be enclosed in a big box? or could you just have the sky brush over the windows?

    I deleted my light_environment and gave this place a night setting
    now the bunker is illuminated form outside so that will do

    thanks for your help
