Depends on the consoles they are made available to. If it lands on a Gamecube, I would at least rent both. Buying it depends on whether any of my mates would play it with me.

Good graphics, best in the series. Easy learning curve. Multiple gameplay modes. First online 3-D fighting game. Fun fun fun. Easy Controls.

The netcode for online play isn't done too well, it can be really, really bad at times. Developers didn't take enough time to expand on the newer characters and some of the new fighting styles. Some of the weapon fighting styles lack depth and are quite boring to use. Although the controls are good for the most part, sometimes it feels like the characters are frozen in place for a very short period of time. The Chess mode is a bit lax.

More outfits. One more fatality per character. One more Hara-Kiri. More depth in the Chess mode. BETTER NETCODE
Hopefully DoA: Ultimate will do a good job keeping the online play "lag-free"
I'm not going to bash on KoF, it's a classic, but I'm getting tired of all the hack-job 2-D fighters that are being released, or should I say "re-released" with a few updates and whatnot. The only 2-D fighter that is coming out that is worth playing imo is Guilty-Gear X2 Reloaded.
If you want a better game, get Deception, if you have money to blow, get both I guess.

Really? I've heard nothing but praise for it =o Generally the only thing I can think of is that the 3 or 4 player won't be good for serious matches but the core 1 v 1 is just as good as ever with sol still being mr unbalanced jerkperson like he always is XD
