playdemo demoname.dem <!--QuoteEnd--> </td></tr></table><div class='postcolor'> <!--QuoteEEnd--> you don't ned to type ´playdemo demoname.<b>dem</b>
in other words you don't need to type '.dem' everytime you record, it will be added automatically. same when playing - type 'playdemo demo1' and demo1.dem will be opened
tricky thing is that if you include fullstop in demoname, like 'record demo.rush1' game will assume that '.rush1' is the file's extension and won't add '.dem' to the filename. keep that in mind if you 'sort files by type' in windows, as i myself had a hard time finding my demofiles once. ;]
If you want to use fullstops, substitute -'s instead. Hypens won't screw up the filename, and still look pretty <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->
