Regarding the marine resource issues, a question..

One problem or two...?
I realize that it has been stated that there is the obvious resource problem of server admins jacking up the resource incomes, hitpoints of building, etc...
However, its been mentioned that there is a bug that there makes the marines get more resources than they should faster than they should.
My question is are these two separate things, or two descriptions of the same sort of thing?
It would explain a few things, as I find it difficult to believe that there are *that* many server admins that would screw around with the default resources so much, although it's certainly possible. Of course, if this is the case, then why didn't it show up in playtesting?
By the way, this isn't an attack on the PT's or anything else. I know how thorough they were/are, and can't imagine them missing something this big. But what happened to trigger this then? It only happens when non-PT's play it?!
I'm just sad that this happened and has given many people a poor impression of the balance (As they see it) that has been done for the mod.
Anyway, not a big deal, but I was just curious how this came about.
Excellent work on the mod, Devs and PT's, and thanks for all of your hard work. You've got a hit on your hands, but I suspect you knew that!

And then, seeing as I don't believe playtesters searched the mod for console commands that had this kind of power, it might just not have been thought of.
Anyway, you can cheat in all mods one way or the other using console commands (imagine cs if you tell your team you've turned cheats on and then the whole team will use impulse 101 to get 16k cash without the other team knowing)
The thing is nobody does it as cs because they are used to the mod.
Seeing as Natural Selection is so new som lamers would offcourse try to cheat, although in the later stages of Natural Selection I heavily doubt anyone would bother.
So I guess the whole deal might just be the fact that people thought nobody would be this lame.
They will need to remove it.
But imagine if nobody acctually bother to do this, imagine all the fun you could have in lan parties later with this? just constructing a huuuuge base because you've got a #### load of minerals, just for fun, not to really play, at that time people wouldnt really bother to use the commands for cheating anyway but seeing as they do now, the ability to change it like this has to be removed, and if they ever put it back in people will think: "harr harr, now I can cheat!"
(sigh yet another thing ruined by the lamers, I say we eat them all) *snicker*
It IS still possible that some server admins are monkeying with things though, so don't discount that.
