Hey guys, I recently got a 2500+ and managed to seat it properly(I got into windows,and I got it up to 2.13 ghz). I had to reset the bios because I tried to push it too hard. So after I reset that the monitor went black and stayed black on re-boot, so I tried an old geforce card that I know is still good, same thing, different monitor, same result. I know nothing is burnt up because it didnt shut down immediately on start-up.

Te specs of the system in question:

AMD 2500+
1GB Corsair XMS 3200
2 WD HD's (80 gig SE IDE and 60 gig IDE)
Radeon 9600 AIW (also tried GF4MX)
Antec PSU rated at 480w output
MSI K7N2-L Nforce2 board

If anyone can help me or needs more information that can be used to help me please reply peeps.

I'm just going to be stupid and ask you to check all your monitor cables.

edit: then try a different slot for the card if it isn't AGP (which it probably is..)

it is, and Ive tried 2 different monitors that both worked last time I used them.

The monitor is plugged into the video card output, not the on-board video output, right?

Check the pins on the monitor cable and make sure you didn't bend any pins on accident.

Does it appear that the machine goes through POST and logs into the OS? (I suppose checking the HDD LED activity would suffice here)

check the D-Bracket with lights for error codes, MSI boards usually dont have beepcodes but have light codes.
