<div class="IPBDescription">Game crashs</div> Hi there,

I have a very big problem, when I try to start my selfmade map NS randomly crashs with the error "Fatal Error: 'AllowBlock: full' ". This error only happen on custom maps and not always most times in work fine but then ns crashs. I asked some friends and they have the same problem. I redownloaded Steam, the NS Installer, formated my system, tried it at over 20 other systems in our school ( I love it to be teh serveradmin ) but it still crashs randomly...

I asked at the Steampowered.com customerhelp but I just got this answer:

"I am sorry, but we cannot provide support for 3rd party mods, either selfmade or downloaded. Please ask in the steampowered forums as many experienced modd'ers do visit and post on these forums." <-- *omg*

May YOU help me please, the steamstuff is unable to do so...

Best regards
dtdesign

Look in the Mapping Troublshooting & Help forum. There is a stickied thread with common problems, no offence but are you stupid not to look there first? Read the descriptions to forums! And the stickied threads in forums first!

no offence but can you be more of an ****? besides, this isnt a "common simple problem"

    allocblock:full
A tough one to figure out, vague error that usually shows up when you start the game or during compile, or even when WC/Hammer starts up - you have gone over the memory limit somewhere for some reason. It can be too little RAM (128M is about minimum), a leaf saw into leaf error, too long pathnames, too many textures, too big a level, too big or too many model/sprites, too big a wav sound file - or it could be that old "too many wads" mistake, a huge "noob" brush around the map to prevent leaks, too many SKY faces on hidden brush faces in the level - or even something else.
If it happens during compile, do not use WC/Hammer to "run" the map, but use a front end or batch file to compile with. You could also get more RAM.

Here's the site that above quote came from.

    <a href='http://www.slackiller.com/tommy14/errors.htm#allocblock' target='_blank'>http://www.slackiller.com/tommy14/errors.htm#allocblock</a>

Good site for all sorts of mapping errors.

I could be nicer, although I think generally people need to get common sense first hand, or be told.

if your map is not finished yet and you dont have 3 hives, this may occure if you join the alien team
it works fine if you join marines first and then go alien (at least thats my "problem" in my map)
