Preview in post, need a host for files
Hey. I just made a steam background for NS to go with my new Aliens startup music and I thought they went so well together that I would release them, but i need a host for the files. Heres a preview of the background for those who might be interested in using it. Its kind of "marine view through crappy scanline visor" thing, like the initial battle in Aliens.

Sorry for the low quality jpeg, it looks better in game!

Oooo, nice. Very "A|ien" like, I first thought it was from AvP (game).

That isnt ns_metal now is it?

Bashh it is sort of possible. just model a plain square as the v_model for "x" and put an additive texture on it. i.e that steam bg

    its been done before IIRC.

edit: the texture would also be light sensitive

The super lowpoly LMG uses an overview to make everything blue. Kind of pretty.

i understand this, and that was my first thought, however i wish not to do it this way, because it wouldnt really seem the same as if it were coded, and if they were to sense movement? i wouldnt get my desired effect.

    though it would be cool
