alright.... I have been trying to create a spray image through wally for ns but everytime I open ns the picture goes back to the original one(smiley, tiki, etc)
I must know everything about the process.... height, width, etc.

Must be a dimention of 16x16. So like 32x32 or 48x32. And never ever go into the options where you can change your spray ingame for it will erase your custom one.

Just to clarify,
Dimensions must be MULTIPLES of 16.

There are programs out there (many, google it,) that will convert a suitable .bmp to a .wad for you.

This thread was better suited in New Player. Or, ideally, you could have searched and found approx. 20 more threads covering the exact same thing.

the file name must be tempdecal.wad

pldecal.wad was the old WON times spraypaint file name, for steam is is <b>tempdecal.wad</b>

To solve the overwriting.

Go into the properties of the file with right click and set it to read only.

Boom, your done.

i had this problem when shar made me that owned spray.
the filename MUST be tempdecal.wad and can be any size and of any colors, be sure its in your NS folder and that its a READ ONLY file, if its not read only, every time you go to options, it will be overwritten.

and secons, some servers dont allow custom sprays, you can tell when you see a poorly made HL sign instead of your amazing spray.
