30 bucks at Fry's Electronics.

That is all.

EDIT: The full version of UT2004 and this pack as well, that is. For those of you w/out broadband or UT2004. (Read: Me)

EDIT2: TYPOS MEJOR, AMiGO!

bwahahaha... too late, I've already been playing the new onslaught stuff for the last 3 days ~cackles and dances~

Seriously though... the new vehicles are seriously cool; the cicada rocks, the paladin is downright unstoppable in the right hands and the artillery thingy is great for annoying the opposing team with random death ^^

oh well... back to working on me mod =s

Yeah this is a classic title and the add-on's, mod's maps etc
have made this game one of my few "must-haves".

Screenshot of the new flying thingy:

If you don't have UT2004 already... go get it.
It's worth the money for Red Orchestra alone.
(And air Bucanneers!)

IMO, UT2k4 deserves GOTY. It just blows me away.

Unless HL2 comes out to challenge it, I'd say its a shoo-in.

That might be your systems way of telling you "I can't handle it."

Seriously, though, I have almost the exact same specs ( Nvidia FX5200-yes, yes I cry every night for my sin; AMD 1.2 Ghz, although it's not like the extra 100 Mhz is making a difference.) Anyway, if the FX5200 (apparently crap) can run it, maybe it's just that you need to update your drivers?

OT: Quanaut- what is your sig/avatar from? It seems familiar, but I can't quite place it.

You should be fine with that system - I ran the demo with a 500mhz celeron, 256mbs of ram, and a Geforce 2 MX. While it ran pretty slow, it didn't crash on me.

If anyone works out what the 2ndary fire on the cicada laser turret does then please do tell because as far as I can see it just drops useless fizzing balls that don't do any damage or anything o.O

Oh and though you probably know; if you're in a paladin you can still fire while having the shield up but it changes from a ranged cannon attack to a stupendously damaging area effect shockwave around you. It kills most things very dead or sends them flying and you can take out a node by sitting on it and using that in a very very short amount of time =o

To buy, or not to buy. It's so difficult! On one hand Unreal Tournament 2k4 is a Tribes ripoff without jetpacks. On the other hand there's a bunch of mods. On my left foot, it's $30 bucks and that's more expensive then just playing the demo, but on the other foot it's certainly cheaper than Star Wars: Battlefront which I also want to buy. Confused!

I've always wondered why more people don't use Gamespot's DLX service. 90 KB/sec is fine for me, especially since it's free and has no lines.

I'm guessing it would be to throw off the tracking devices on enemy missles.. I mean, I'm guessing the missles use heat to lock on, right? So a big fizzing ball of heat would work fairly nicely to confuse them...

Of course, I haven't tested this yet.. but it would make sense. I mean, the Cicada is a fairly big target... Fairly easy to track with the avril or Raptor missles..

Because of this secondary fire in fact, the cicida has taken my fav vehicle spot from the scorpion, and now I use it and only it. God the ecstacy that is that machine.

This is the type of stuff a re-release should have. None of this Super Mega Killer GOLD edition or "Game of the Year" edition with the newest patch and that's it. Adding extra content like this means the new people to the game get an even better experience out of the box and the people who own it already have that much more reason to go back and play it.

Its a laser turret mounted on the bottom of the cidada, its first fire is a lazer with a very fast rof and the secondary fire is.. a ball of fizzy stuff which I am guessing is to throw off missles.
