2 gigabytes won't be very different from 1 gigabyte unless you're doing some serious rendering or photoshopping.

However, in the future, 2 gigs of the HyperX will beat 1 gig of OCZ EB 3700.

In all seriousness, I think they are of equal price.

However, another very good choice would be Crucial Ballistix PC3200. It does 2-2-2-5 at 400, but it can OC to DDR500 at 2.5-2-2-5. Extremely fast within those levels.

EDIT* The reason why I recommended Crucial Ballistix is because it is cheap enthusiast RAM. A gigabyte costs around 260, but it still performs with the best. EDIT*

If you want serious OC power, go with the EB 3700.

If you just want bang for your buck, go with Mushkin Basic Green and get a gigabyte of it. Seriously, the HyperX isn't that much better than generic RAM, and the 3700 EB is specifically tailored for Athlon 64 systems since they are based on Hynix RAM.

If you don't plan on RAIDing your Raptors, I'd get a Seagate 200 gig hard drive. They carry 3 year warranties (something you'll be hard pressed to find) and are generally quiter than the competition.

MAKE SURE YOU GET THE OCZ POWERSTREAM 520 WATT.

Thanks once again, RAM is one area I have relatively little knowledge in.

EDIT: But that OCZ RAM is described as being engineered for Intel chipsets. Now I'm just confused.

Buying 64-bit processors..... for the love of God, what's the point yet?
