<div class="IPBDescription">for 3dsmax rendering</div> I have a small (leaky) .map file and want to convert it into 3dsmax to render it there.
Converting to .dxf and loading that into max4 gets me all textures lost and converts the map into one big object. Why cant i keep my textures?
loading the .map into 3dexplorer (deep exploration) to convert that into .3ds twists, moves and randomizes some textures when importing to 3desplorer but keeps most of them in place.

and your map now becomes one group, since autocad also has no grouping.... (not sindce i last used it at least)

No complaints about autoCAD from me because I use it to do my technical engineering drawings and I'm sure as hell not doing them in the old fashioned way.
