Or just plain old record it in fraps to begin with.
Play a demo
startmovie temp 30
will save 30 bitmaps per second to your ns folder.
Use <a href='http://www.planetfortress.com/hlmp/hlmp2-beta/article.asp?ID=254' target='_blank'>pjbmp2avi</a> to make those BMPs into videos and capture sound with program like <a href='http://www.yogen.com/' target='_blank'>audiomagic</a>.
Then you can put the sound and video together in a video editing program of choice.
It's a rather involved process, but if you don't like the quality that Fraps gives you, you can try out this method.

If you have several Gigabytes of space and a uber-elite parallel processor of d00m, yes, bmp capture method is a good way to do things...
startmovie xxx is the BEST method available. But i recommend 25fps for a simple movie.
@Maveric
This has nothing to do with processor power. The startmovie avis will have exatly the same size as the fraps avis, they have just better quality.

What are you talking about? Fraps is what requires the hardware. BMP capture will slow down and make sure it gets every frame, no matter how slow your computer is. With fraps, it's tough luck if you drop frames. Also, both capture methods store uncompressed, so they both take up tons of space. Oh and did I mention that you can't record more than like 4 minutes 640x480x30fps due to the maximum file size on windows? The only thing you need to capture real-time with bmp capture is the sound, and basically any computer can do that.
And by the way, that "yet another method" is basically the same as what I described.
