Anyway I thought of a great idea for a HL2 mod, or BF1942. Something of the like.
The plot goes like this.
They arrived- tens of thousands of extraterrestrial beings- in huge spaceships the size of a modern metropolis. They came from a dying planet. All they wanted, ini exchange for their vast knowledge of science and technology, was a small share of earth's natural resources. Theirs was a mission of peace...and mankind believed them. Until they began to multiply into an army of alien invaders. Until men, women, and children- entire cities- began to vanish from the earth. Until the horrifying reality behing their mission of peace - a reign of terror reminiscent of Nazi Germanyt on a global scale- created the human imperative- resist or perish!

Humans are armed with weapon of the era, mostly Vietnam issue surplus weapons such as motors and M16A1 rifles. as well as Submachine guns and plastic explosives. The humans will be given an objective (such as a bombing or hostile takeover) and the aliens will go about to stop them. They will also have the know known toxic Red Dust Biological weapon, which easily kills the Visitors. Which can be either available to them in the form of a motor round or a gas greande. They will have many civilian vehicals at their disposal.

The aliens will be equipped with space craft and blaster technology. They are also equipped with bullet resistant armor, so they can take quite a few hits. They also have the benefit of having complete control over the skies. Their weapons are blaster based, that come in a few basic forms, Mounted lazer system, spaceship based, Shock trooper rifle form, and pistol. Rifles have a sniper mode built in, and is capable of killing a human based on the charge time. same somewhat applies to the pistol.

how do you deliver a chemical weapon via a motor?

cmon man, its V! ye gods, there is a reason why there has been nothing made after that series.

Upshot, powerful lizard aliens who spit acid, shrug off standard firearms, have blasters that are one hit killers, and lots of deadly flying toys.
Against them, the humans. Poorly equipped due to the need for custom bullets but with an increased tolerance against Red Dust, comparable land vehicles, but a disadvantaged airforce consisting of light but well armed helicopters.
It's a fairly standard concept, I'm surprised noone's modded it already!
