Sounds like a mini canvas for me XD
I might buy it, depending on how much money I have....
Anyway, $150 for the Nintendo DS and Metroid.
That's a freaking great deal.

Soooooooooooooooooo importing this as well as a few of the launch titles.

DS > RuBy
DS > all
DS > PSP
- ok launch is Nov 21st for $150 US
- Comes with Pictochat INBUILT.
- Comes with a DEMO of Metroid Prime Hunters.
- Is launching in the USA BEFORE Japan. (Japan gets it Dec 1)
I am importing this thing so quickly, it isn't funny.
Hopefully Super Mario 64x4 and Super Mario Kart will both be launch titles.
EDIT: Also. Nintendo just decimated the 'competition' before Sony even launched their handheld.

Well.. you could **** youself out to 1000 fat chicks for 50$.
Thank god i didnt buy a gba sp. I have a gba but no backlight. Now i go to all my friends with an SP, and i go: in a few months, your technology will be obsolete to mine. Then thier rich parents buy them the ds when it come out, not even on thier birthday, or whatever gift-giving day, and im like "god dammit!".
But the rich kids will get what they deserve when the time comes.
Heh, fat chicks need loving too.

you shouldn't joke about that. how do you think i bought myself my $$$ computer? and intend to buy all these great games too and DS etc?
go through their friends who pity them and you'll make a lot more money...
Ditto, and ditto. This is pretty much my one minor consolation in this affair.
Am I the only one worried about this?
I mean hey, the last thing to break japanese tradition of being released locally then shipped to the US later was Metal Gear Solid 2, and we all know how that turned out...
Also, take special note of the bundled metroid game: Metroid Prime Hunters: First Hunt. Now, I haven't been keeping up too closely but I don't remember there being a subtitle on there, which leads me to guess that this isn't the full game you're getting, but rather just a demo, ala Half-Life: Day One. [edit] n/m Inf already beat me to it. I should read threads before posting. :P [/edit]
Still, this is the uberpwn though.
But anyway, yeah lot's of cool games and stuff are coming out late this year.

Nintendo DS

Metroid Prime 2: Echoes

Half-Life 2

Paper Mario 2

And then you can't forget all the other really cool games coming out for the DS as well. But, is Pictochat really built into the DS? That's gonna be kicka**.
@Doom: They released Metroid Prime in the USA before anywhere else and look how that game turned out? Very awesome.

the styalis is a feature just like having a joy stick and a d pad on the same side of the gamecube controler
For me the only handheld is the mini-laptop.
A fat, juicy inheritance?

I was worried about this when I first got a PDA. Then I learned that you can buy extra stylus's in packs of 3 for dirt cheap. And that's no lie, I saw a pack for like $1.50, the exact ones I needed. My guess is, that losing it won't be a problem because A.) It will have a nice hole it clicks into place in, inside the DS just like PDA's do and B.) even if you do lose it, replacements won't cost that much because it's just a stick of metal and perhaps plastic.
Don't give up on a system just because of something so trivial. If you think that the control setup is unwieldy or something more important, I would understand; though even then, I would think that perhaps trying it out at a store would be a could way to test out such a theory.
