Im posting here, this isnt a suggestion.. but a question up for DISCUSSION....



Why do aliens lose thier lifeform upon respawn... but not marines...

I think marines should lose guns/HA/welders/mines and only keep upgrades on respawn.. just like aliens to balance it out

    Aliens are more flexible this way. Marines have a timelimit. Overall it seems pretty balanced to me, provided the alien team has adapted to the latest patch.

    The simple answer: because Aliens are the defenders. It's senseless to request the equivalent for marines just for the sake of being fair; the teams are supposed to be unsymmetrical. Aliens were far too good at defending with higher lifeforms, so that aspect was nerfed for the sake of the overall gameplay balance. That's all there is to it. It doesn't matter if marines are really good at defending spawn because the aliens aren't the ones that lose if they can't break the base.

    aliens spawning as skulks is actually pretty handy, just get your 3rd hive abillities then go gorge, web up the place, then lerk, spore/umbra people, and then if you want to bust the base go fade and use AR to spalsh damage those dang rines. then you can do a lot more with one game as aliens now and just get redempt and cara and it makes it a lot easier not to die as much

    Marine could lose only jps and ha so they can adjust too.

    Actually, I did start a post about this 2 weaks ago...I don't like skulk spawning at all. For both sides.

    It's a bit to easy for marines when all aliens are dead compared to when all marines are dead.
