(this is a copy of the post in the "Beta Bug Reports" forum.. link = http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/in...showtopic=80744
I re-posted here as its server related also)

Im running a dedicated server, on a dedicated Linux box in NL....

I have noticed large system RAM useage (this was present in b4a, but since I havent had a server for any versions before that, I dunno if it was in past versions (IE 1.04))

System Specs:

AMX XP2800+
1GB DDR 400 ram (Corsair) (2x512mb@cas2.5)
Linux RedHat 9
HLDS_L v1.1.2.0/Stdio 2693 insecure (RCON)

I recently ran the HLUpdateTool to update the server files

ok, heres what happens...

I re-boot the server so its a Fresh boot, all webhosting processes running, everything as it should be, and 38% ram useage....

I start the server.. its still ok, jumps to approx 48-53% useage (still acceptable)
HOWEVER... As-soon as the map changes, the RAM useage goes up to 99% - at one point I had 1.04mb free out of 1gb, this is causing HUGE lag spikes, especially when the servers full...

Any ideas anyone? any suggestions? any total linux Guru's on here who know how i can set up a cron to flush any now, unused ram like once every 20-30 mins..

Thanks
