I swear when you stand in the airport and that 747 flies over your head, you'll hear a turbine sound, IT'S RAORING. Sure when you stand a 2 or 3 miles away it closely resembles the jetpack.
Now a jetpack turbine is of course of another caliber than a 747, but still, a jetpack wich could actually lift the wieght of a man with such speed would sound just a little more roaring, no matter how many nanites you stuff in it. You don't have to louden it, just pitch it down, and give it a little subwoof. The present turbine sound perfectly resembles the turbine in my minivacuum, wich cannot lift me higher than 3 yards with only 2 m/h.
the sound in the file seems cooler than in practical use <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/sad-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->
