Check Check- new pictars! Deleted the old ones as they were as of now obsolete!

These first two are of the Bacterial Scanner... I might change the wall texture back to an un-infested yg wall... but here they are for now.

This is BEFORE an alien passes

Okay, now the next two show a previously un-textured hallway... you can't see it to well, but the roof IS a nice lil diddly there, and i like how the long lighting compliments the hall colour

    I didn't post any pics yet as it's currently ALMOST the same as before, just lacking a few textures and / or entites


    However... I just got an illusionary acting NON ILLUSIONARY brush problem.. I just randomly fall THRU the floor at one point... I might have to section it off (not like there's anything too important there, nor is it a good pathway of any kind) ---FIXED

    Okay, now I have a few newly noticed things to work out (since I just finished making the doors DOORS that lead to the other part of the map) namely a few brush mal-alignments and such.


    How do I make a light able to be turned on OR off by a switch, the SAME switch?

    Well that's the point of an illusionary you know? It makes you walk through it, or in this case fall through the floor.

    *sighs* It's a bug... it's in the bug help forum too. It's a brush that just doesn't have a clip to it... like a func_illusionary. I fixed it by replacing it (I didn't like the way it looked anyway)

    Okay, check the first post. I uploaded 3 pics, these are just pics of the most finished rooms from the save. I have a nice, large, air duct system, but it's not done being lit yet

    Aight, did a bit more work on the map. Please ignore the POOR framerate... that is due to my butt licking POS vid driver (I just got 50 bucks, and might draw another 75 or so from the bank to buy a Radeon xt... perhaps the 9600 or 9800)

    pics 1 and 2 look good, mebe change the ceiling texture tho

    pics 3 and 4 seem a bit bright and bland, try darkening it, and addeding some color, mebe some screens on a wall

    pic 6 where it connects to the cleaner area on the left, make a trim around it, so it doesnt look so out of place

    pic 7 (the comm area) seems way to big and way to square

    other than that it seems to be comin along well, i like it

    The comm chair area will prolly get a res node and some boxes (currently the rines have no nreaby res node)

    Some of the rooms look a bit shoe-boxy right now, and they're quite open. Though this does keep the r_speeds nice and low, it would be cool to see some more details in the level or something.

    Try thinking about what this ship/station/place is actually for, and then add things based on that. ie. if it's a warehouse, add a load of crates, if it's a butchery.... add some beef <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    UPDATE- I worked some more on the TEXTURING and some BRUSH WORK... re-check the first page... there is a picture of a BUG i need help with about mid way (5th picture I believe) that i cannot solve... been a problem for me before, and is now again... anywho

    I'm still tweaking lighting levels... and I was playing with the door over the command chair... it's psycidelic now rofl

    Gotten a bunch of tweaking work done, working on the next part. I might turn this into a mini-co map for the first round of PT so I know what the current area is like
