Don't swear or post inapropiate pictures, don't steal bandwidth from the forums, and don't flame people, or say things that are just begging to be flamed. Those are the rules you need to follow if you don't want to be banned. Other than that, just keep the spam (and by extention advertizing) to a minimum, you can be banned for spam, but in my experiance, most spammers get about a million warings before action is taken against them, unless they are REALLY blatant.
