I'm going to a concert at 7... don't expect to hear from me for a while... and actually the blade and the knife handle are exactly the same proportions as the default, I used the default model as a reference while making it heh.. I just made it transparent and made mine around it

you don't "install" them, you have to either animate the model with them, or install them on a model already animated with my custom animators hands, I may reanimate the knife some time soon, and with it use my "high poly" knife in its place as well, so we can get another nice model to use with the high poly hands

until then you gotta use bashh's nade, the ax, and whatever else models have been animated with my custom animator hands

Chrono, know you nothin' boy?
it stops being your nade the minute some one else does something to it... for shame Chrono I thought you knew that much...

off topic here (as if I wasn't already off topic enough) if you ever get a chance to see crossfade live, do it

actually it would be "Chrono's nade that Ice UVW mapped, RSX textured, Bashh animated and compiled, and then put on Ice's new seksy arms by Bashh"
I see Bashh in there twice and only Chrono once...

anyway, I'm tired as crap still, and I got some studies to do, so it may be a while till I do anything with that knife and new high detail arms

meh, people complained too much and didn't provide enough gratitude for the LA ones.. I see no reason to do it again...

not to mention no one here (well a few people here did) realise how difficult dynamic organic modelling is, and if I were I'd just use the same model, and make a new arm section with shields and use the same hand, cuz the hand itself is pretty good/accurate

in my opinion, the first person in a chain of modelling gets the credit. So usually the conceptor gets the credit (aka drakes pistol)

Erm... is it possible that you could put these on every weapon?

Cause modeling = foreign language to me and I REALLY love these arms!

"wrist too thin" "finger nails too clean" "cloth sucks" "armor looks too blurry" "symbol needs to be more like the original" "armor looks oozed" "symbol looks pasted on" oh and "fingers look too pointy" kinda covers a few of the complaints I heard, where no one offered to do better, only RSX and AxMan made their own attempts. Maybe you should follow post more thoroughly from now on norn, and it's ignorant, disrespectful posts like yours that make me so irritable and really **** me off to the point of just saying screw this community, you guys don't deserve any nice stuff, because I don't have to do ANYTHING for the public, in fact I can just keep it for myself and a priveledged few others, or I could just do contributor only releases, at least those guys have something positive to say...

[edit: and in case you have something stupid to say again, remember that whole thing that went on in the other thread, and the first 2 pages of this one? About not wanting constructive criticism unless asked for? Yeah, I didn't wanna hear anything, and still don't want to, so kindly, SUYF]

If you dont want open constructive criticism and you dont want to hear what people have to say Evil_Ice, dont make a thread in a forum, because people will give you their opinions. That is what a forum is for. Simple as that. You can take your models, and your stinking attitude away with you for all I care.

EDIT: apparently supernorn speaks for a lots of people...

not meh

it's ice's release, he's already done so much work on it that if he doesn't wanna change it that's his choice, I think he's just saying he's done for now and if you don't like something change it yourself

its a privalege (sp?) to get these models not a right....

be happy with what you get

Those arms are surely a great handiwork, but they don't look much better than the original ones... or at least the parts you normally see. Like the fingers and the wrists.

NO DAMMIT NO
i'm amazed how fast this forum drives good modelars away

I think all criticism is good, as long as they tell you what to improve upon, and as long as they don't insult you...
• AlignAlign Remain Calm Join Date: 2002-11-02 Member: 5216Forum Moderators, Constellation
I don't particularly dislike Ice, but seriously, if people criticize your work and you take more than mild offense from it, perhaps you aren't ready for an Internet career yet.

What's the use of posting your stuff on a forum fi you don't want criticism?
If you can't handle it, leave.

Wow is this gang up on Ice day?

For crits isnt the only reason to post in a forums, ****, it could be to release stuff so people can have nice things?

These arms, may not be the best, but it's better than the original, and also better than something I could do. He released these arms so that YOU ALL, MYSELF INCLUDED, could have nice better looking arms for the better looking, high poly default models. and if you compair them, even though quite different, they're ROUGHLY the same as the default. If you want something different then model it yourself, or edit the model yourself, Complaining (oh the wrist is too thin, which it's not) gets us all nowhere.

So norn, and whoever else had **** to say, guys, go suck a nut, because not everything is about criticism

This is all very amusing BAshh, but I have nothing against the models. I think they are fine. I'm questioning ICE's reaction towards criticism, and its my opinion. You dont have to listen to me if you dont want to.

And would a peanut suffice? or should I try to find a walnut?
• AlignAlign Remain Calm Join Date: 2002-11-02 Member: 5216Forum Moderators, Constellation
And I always thought modellers took offense if you modified their models without their permission.
If you post any homemade projects on a forum, there will be comments and, usually, criticism. Should you not want any, say so in the first post so people are forewarned and will let you think that your project is perfect.
