<div class="IPBDescription">Fail.</div> The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000135). Click OK to terminate the application.

This is the error I get when I try to open the latest version of batch.
I can't use the older version because it is bugging out on me when ever a map reaches a certain size, and It says this bug is fixed with new batch (works with more computers).
My friend sent me the same installer he used, fail. I downloaded the same installer for 2 different sites, fail.
I REALLY NEED THIS WORKING

Anyone know how to fix this?
I $#@!ing hate spending like 3-5 days on a map, hard work, it looks good, then the final compile, I get freak errors and more things that hold me up.

EDIT: My friend said he got it working, but absolutely does not remember how.
(he was getting the exact same error)
Does ANYONE know?

    You did download the .NET Framework? I'm not sure if that would cause such an error, but perhaps you should try re-downloading it.

    Installation of the Microsoft .NET Framework Version 1.1 Redistributable Package available for download <a href='http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=262D25E3-F589-4842-8157-034D1E7CF3A3&displaylang=en' target='_blank'>here</a> will get rid of that error.

    Understand that installation of this may bork your system login when you restart (if you have Windows XP), but it's correctable by going into your User Accounts in the Control Panel.

    yes, I got the same error before, and the .NET framework seemed to fix it up fine for me. The first install of the framework didnt work right though, so I had to reinstall and then it decided to work. Try that.

    And 3-5 days? I was working on my map for almost 2 weeks, used hammer to compile up to then, then went to make a final compile in Batch and had the problem <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/sad-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    good luck fixing it though <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    This is the number one error people report and I don't know why. The answer can be found on a dozen pages on my site, here is <a href='http://countermap.counter-strike.net/Nemesis/index.php?p=7' target='_blank'>one of them</a>. (BTW yes, it is that you need .NET framework.)

    I can't wait until the next version of Windows which will have the .NET framework installed as part of Windows.
