There are two new NSlearn articles at http://www.nslearn.org

One on marine movement by Serphic8x, and an impulse list compiled by JackKnife.

Enjoy!

I posted a small mistake I found in the marine movement article in the comments.

EDIT: How could you leave out zig zag walking? One of the easiest and best ways to move faster around the map.

I remember e-Kent writing a section about marine movement back in the day.

Being an NS marine is to focus on improving your aim first, and improving your movement second. Every other skill you can learn is tangental to aiming and moving. If you know how to move and you know how to aim, you know how to play NS, and your ability to play NS increases with each new mastery of a particular aiming or moving technique. Bunnyhopping, wallstrafing, wiggle-walking, proper cornering, proper corner checking, advanced map navigation, and advanced melee dodging are all key skills to improving your game above and beyond mere mediocrity.

You learn how far you can push the engine playing aliens, and all the assorted stupid tricks, then you apply what you know about movement to marines, and reap the rewards.

    PS: Bind jump to mousewheel.

WIGGLEWALKING. NOT ZIGZAG WALKING. WIGGLE WIGGLE WIIIIIGGLEWALKING. WIIIIIIIIIIIIIGGLIGGLIGGLIE.

    its friiiday, its friiiday
