Just in a map?
Say you have someone whos tricky and makes a secret in his map like the alien spawn in the corner theirs a hologram wall and he walks threw and it teleports him in the ceiling above the command when commander is not looking he jumps down killz the command and moves on for the troops... isn;t that kinda unfair?

i think it's up 2 the mapper to decide if he should put something like that in the game, i geuss secrets will be kept liek the easters in teh cs-maps, no real advantage.

The only thing about that kind of secret is that once someone discovers it, they know it, and once everyone knows it, the secret turns into a feature of the map. And that kind of a cheap shortcut isn't a very good feature.

I think our mapping community is mature enough not know that all secrets will be found.

I think I understand what you were trying to say....

I don't mean "no secrets at all", I was referring to the cheap ones that give a huge advantage to one team if they find it (i.e. a button hidden in the marine base that triggers a huge explosion over the alien hive).

    Just like cs_foption or whatevah?

Secrets (like in the readyroom, as somebody suggested) that are pure eastereggs and funny would be nice.

    Eastereggs are the best!

well I mean you could have a func_illusionary ceiling but its an illusion and the real ceiling is above it and aliens can see down from it but marines not up in it... and the aliens could wait behind a illusion and when marines walk under the alien dives down and decaps the marine.
