For starters, some basic info on the mod itself. It is titled Dungeon Keeper Mod. This is the official titale, so that way the connection of it and dungeon keeper is made, but also its different so EA cant sue me.. It will be made on the Doom 3 engine, and mostly will be designed for good multiplayer support, but single player will be made fun as well.. Models however are not aimed for hi detail, so if u notice they're not, dont bug us abuot it.. With so many models on the screen at one time with the high settings doom 3 will have, we cant have high poly models. And besides, you wont clearly see the model in an overhead view, so wont matter. For sounds, unlike in dungeon keeper 1, which DKM is a remake of, there will be sounds for each and every monster, not 5 monsters usin the same sounds..

I. Spells.

1. Must Obey- in dungeon keeper, this made all ur minions work faster, however that was all. So, in DKM, i will keep this feature, but also make it so any monster will be forced to do any task u assign him with in agreement to the title, Must Obey.

2.Conceal Monster- This had some major issues of the monster still being seen, so on. In DKM, we wil lbe sure to make it hide the monster fully from anyones sight, unless they are using the powerup Sight (explained later) or are a ghost, or if the concealed monster attacks, thus being revealed.

3. Lighning- Damage will be reduced, and also will only be castable on your claimed land, like in dungeon keeper 2. This is to prevent other keepers from "imp zapping"

4.Protect Creature- Was next to useless in dungeon keeper, so im gonna make it very useful..

5.Cave-in- This WILL be castable anywhere u can see, however wil ldo very little damage, and just cause enemy creatures to scatter the area in a hurry.

6.Disease- Creatures who become diseased will now also seek out the temple themselves, instead of you having to put them there.

7.Amageddon- Will be removed by default, but can be brought back in by a game setting.

II. Traps

1.Bouldar Trap- will not be an instant kill, but will do massive damage.

2.Poison Gas Trap- Will have large damage and radius increses.

3.Lightning trap- Major chop-down. The original lightning trap had 6 charges, and each time it was triggered could fire 4 lightning bolts over 4 seconds, so you got 24 shots per trap, adding up to a HELL of a lot of damage. This will be changed to only 1 shot per charge, 6 charges, and much less damage.

4.Word of Power Trap- Will be drastically increased in damage and blast force.

5.Lava Trap- May be removed.

III. Creautres

1.Imp- Will gain expeirence and leve by digging, claiming, and fortifying like in dungeon keeper 2.

2.Mistress- Will be changed to look like the DK2 mistress (better look i think.. ) but with the DK1 strengths.

3.Ghost- Will get conceal spell at level 3, reflect at 4. Will be able to see all concealed creatures as well, and will be very resistant to physical attacks, and since it gets reflect at such an early level, wil lbe very hard to hit with spells. Will overall be greatly strengthened, as i feel in dungeon keeper they were a total waiste.

4.Troll- Will have minor fighting skil improvments.

5. Horned Reaper- Will be made less moody, and more willing to do other tasks. Also, will be able to sooperate with other creatures, unlike in DK1 where u had to put him in his own seperate lair and training room and so forth or he got mad.

6.Vampire- Will be made slightly weaker because a level 10 vamp could die 5 times total, so was a bit too strong i feel.

7.Tunneler- Unlike in DK, converted tunnelers wil ldig for you as well, so basically an imp but much stronger at fighting.

8.Theif- Will be altered to be more theif-like. They will instantly seek out teasuries above all. In single player, if they steal some gold, as soon as they drop it off at their spawn point, the gold is lost for good. In multiplayer they must make it to their treasury, where it is chased in for the reining keeper, or if they are a neutral party in multiplayer, it is simply lost for good.

9. Barbarian- Will recieve some strength enhancements.

10.Monk- Will do double damage against vamps, and if he kills one, it will not be able to resurrect, and be dead for good.

11.Knight (a.k.a Lord of the Land)- Will receive large strength increasements.

IV. Rooms

1.Workshop- Creatures will no longer go automatically here if they manufacture, only if they have absolutly nothin else to do, or if you put them there.

2.Barracks- Grouping will be more effective then in DK1.

3.Torture Chamber- Mistresses will no longer seek this out by default, only if nothin else to do. Also, instead of specific tortures per creature, all creatures will get on torture, a stretcher.. Simple, common, and easy on the production..

4.Graveyard- Will have more body capactiy.

5.Scavenger Room- Removed by default, but can be used by a game setting.

VI. Creature Spells.

1.Armor- Will be made more useful and effective.

2.Drain- Will be slowed down so the creature cant simply live forever off it.

3.Flamebreath- Will Receive a powerful increase.

4.Grenade- AI will make use of this weapon, unlike in DK1.

5.Hailstorm- will receive a powerful increase.

6.Invisibility- Acts like the conceal keeper spell.

7.Poison Cloud Missile- Will no longer harm your creatures, and will be made stronger.

8.Fart- Will receive a drastic strenthg increase.

9.Reflect- Will be fixed to reflect each and every enemy spell. In DK this only worked sometimes, not all the time.

10.Wind- Will no longer affect your team.

11.Word of Power- Will recive a powerful increase.

12.Sight- This was a spell certain creatures got in dungeon keeper, however it was never finished. It was put in the game, but did absolutly nothing, so i will complete it as how it sounds like it should be. So, will make the creature capable of seeing concealed creatures.

    In breaking news... they totally need a new modeller. Ok so the chibi Horned Reaper is cute but I don't think that's what they were aiming for ^^;

    Yes, the models don't look very "Evil" to me...but playing DK again would make me soooo happy.

    It works, but you have to put it at low settings...

    Well, I have spoken to one of the developers, and they are currently working on another commercial project (a FPS/RPG game which has no name yet..) AND they are waiting for the SDK for Doom 3, so it's on hold, but they will continue once they have the SDK.

    There is hope!!111

    Wise words my friend, wise words.

    As a general guide, take effort put into website and multiply by 1.5. You'll get around mod quality, give or take a bit. And the models... ugh.
