Problems joining a game

Hello everyone. Ns works perfectly on my computer. however i cannot log onto the ns servers, they always kick me off?
Is this becuase i am doing something wrong, or is it because people dont like me in general? <!--emo&???--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt='???'><!--endemo-->
Now i have lots of experience on cs. So i am not that much of a noob. By the way, i did not put this in the tech problems forum because i do not believe it is a tech problem.

Are there more than two servers?
And now one is asking for a password that was not there before.
don't run the desktop icon, its messed up. rather, use the start menu icon.
