I got 6 too. WTH, lol? Have they just given 6 straight away to every single Gmail member.

Google is catching every single bit of spam i have received so far so i'm impressed. I'd change to GMail. Otherwise i would go with mozilla thunderbird. After a few weeks the spam filter sotya kicks in and becomes pretty good (considering it's free)

    I don't have 6...I don't have any infact, because I don't have an account.

Yahoo's at the 100mb stuff now (only 10mb filesize max though )...It catches a lot of the spam and throws it in the bulk folder (with only 3 legitimate things put in the spam folder over 2 years of use. Sometimes you get spam in the inbox though (sometimes Yahoo even sends you useless crap [once a month]).

UltimaGecko wouldn't mind a good ol' UltimaGecko@google.com though...Not that he gets any mail and talks in the third person, though.

Send them to yourself when you get them, that way they can't be taken away, and you can just post the link wherever the heck you want.

It may be the reg on these boards, but if you talk about Gmail IRL people will look at you like your insane. Gmail is hardly the status quo.

@PColeman: yup, just open up the invite, put up a couple of smurf names in the name boxes, and put your gmail adress as the adress to send it to. It's a little wierd to see the same smurf name accept 6 or 7 invites, but in the end it just means that people have gotten your gmail invites, so its all good. How do you think Inf was posting endless lists of gmail invite links?

meh for what ever reasons, my origonal ISP email account (which I never use)

is the biggest spam magnet. Ive never given that email address out b/c I always used my yahoo one.

So basically I log in every now and then and delete the 1,000+ spam (yes its all spam) emails.
