Binding impulse commands

I would like to bind certain communications and actions to my keyboard. Is there a list of the impulse(and other) commands somewhere? I used the "search" feature but I only got one hit on "impulse" and it was for something to do with a mousewheel. I looked in the FAQs, the manual and anything else I could find to no avail.
