Windows Profile

Is there any way to make a new profile for a user on Windows XP pro without being in windows?

My sister's computer cant load windows, saying that the default profile is gone or corrupt, and that there is no backup profile to load. It then restarts, comes back to that screen again, and there doesnt seem to be anything that can be done to fix it. If anyone knows how to make a new profille externaly or another way to fix this problem (other than formating; I know its an option but its not backed up) I would greatly appreciate it.

Why do they care what you do as long as you get the files off? They don't need to know how to work linux.

Have you tried Safe Mode? Also, try reinstalling Windows. (Select "Upgrade" from the menu. It'll install over it, rather than format and reinstall.)

Either what Black Mage or Isamil said would work. I would go for safe mode myself, but if its THAT bad, Linux ftw.

How do I load safe mode, that menu doesnt even come up.

Hmm...I foget exactly but it is one of the F# keys. Try going into your BIOS and see if its there.

Hold down F8 when your computer starts up and you'll get a prompt to select what mode you want to boot up in.
