Transparent Func_wall And The Siege Turret

Does it count as line of sight?
I remember, ns_hera. Aliens were closing this hallway where you can look out. Ok, the commander drops 3 siege turrets and drops a scanner sweep. They shot. But then, they stopped shooting. I thought, I'll go out, create a line of sight, stood there, watched the gorges building DCs (no SCs) and nothing happened.

That was a long time ago. Do transparent func_walls count as a line of sight now?

PS: I've made a search for "func_wall" and "func_walls" with no results.

As far as I know, transparent func_walls does not count as line of sight, since they are basically a wall that has a transparent texture on them (correct me if Im wrong)

As I know, the texture is a normal one, but the render mode is set to transparent and the transparency amount is set to whatever.
It would be nice, if such func_walls would count as line of sight, because it's just a bit odd.

Well, i can only make a guess as to whether they block line of sight, and i think they do. func_wall is designed to act like a normal brush. It clips for players and weapons and it also blocks light and casts shadows. Even if it's transparent, i believe it probably would block line of sight for a siege. Then again, i could be entirely wrong.

that post count has gone up pretty damn fast since it was last set to - afaik ;P

seeing as I have little to zero concept of how func_walls work ill go with a "good thinking batman" and hope that they can fix it "same battime, same batpatch" ie in the next episode D: Though from the sounds of it seems impossible without making more bugs (but again absolutely no idea).

I believe on ns_seige maps, siege turrets won't automatically shoot the hives through the glass.

There's one map where they do. Errr... supersiege I think? Anyway, there may be a way to do it.

Another strange thing is that a while ago the changelog had something about fixed siege sighting for transparent brushes, but I don't know exactly if that did anything.
