i finally ot it working today but when i go into the server it says Natural Slection does not support this software blah blah blah or something like that......can anybody help me for like the millionth time?

see, and this is why you give us actualy error messages, not "blahblahblah"

I know what error message you got, but that is only b/c I have spent way to much time here.

Switch to OGL or D3D mode, NS dosn't suport Software.

If your card can't andel either, go buy an actual video card.

Well would someone please answer my question!!?

when i try to join a server it says "your map/s [maps/ns(map).bsp] differs from that of the server" is there a way to update my mpas or what should i do?

2) Play HL atleast Once via Steam (just booting up the training mission will do).

3) Download these 3 files:
ns_install_v3_b1.exe
ns_v30_b4_patch.exe
ns_v30_b4a_patch.exe

4) Install NS V3.0 Beta 1 (ns_install_v3_b1.exe) (This should auto install to steam\steamApps\your@email\half-life\nsp, if it does not, move the NSP folder there).

5) Install NS V3.0 Beta 4 (ns_v30_b4_patch.exe) (point this at steam\steamApps\your@email\Half-Life\ do NOT include the NSP).

6) Install NS V3.0 Beta 4a (ns_v30_b4a_patch.exe) (See * at bottom).

7) Search your Hard drive(s) for folders named nsp.

8) If you have more than one you messed up.  Goto Step 3.


If you folow these steps properly you will not get client.dll or map.bsp errors.

If you are positive you have folowed them corectly then redownload the installer form a different location.

*There aslo seems to be a bug with, atleast some of, the 4a installers.  Try pointing it at steamApps\your@email\ instead of steamApps\your@email\half-life

<b> Slightly More Advanced Steps</b>

2) Deleate all folders named that.

3) Start from step 3 in my guide.

4) Make sure you are using the properly named files for each step, the file name is listed with the step.

5) Make sure you point each file at the place listed with the step
5a) The first one should auto install with no choice of destination
5b) The second one goes to: Steam\SteamApps\your@email\Half-Life
5c) The 3rd should probably go to Steam\SteamApps\your@email\

6) After each install step in my guide (steps 4, 5 and 6) search your hard drive for nsp
6a) If you find only one folder, and it is located at Steam\SteamApps\your@email\half-life\nsp then you are good to go.
6b) If you have only one nsp but it is some where else, move it to that location.
6c) If you have 2 nsp folders, then move the one that is not in that location, over writing all files when prompted.
6d) Each time you move an nsp folder search your hard drive again for nsp to double check.
