<div class="IPBDescription">trailer at apple.com!</div> I never watched Farscape when it was on SciFi. I heard about it every now and then, and thought to myself "I ought to check that out." But I never did.
A year ago I moved into an apartment with my best friend, who along with his brother has the first three seasons of Farscape on DVD. He was re-watching them one afternoon when I sat down, somewhere in the middle of Season 1. Within an episode, I was hooked. Over the past few months I've hooked my girlfriend on it as well (she and I are half-way through Season 2), and my roommate told me the whole sordid story of Farscape's tragedy at the hands of the SciFi Channel.
So when we finally heard that there was to be a final Farscape miniseries, 4 hours to end it all, my friends and I were overjoyed. And now there's a trailer for it:

right at the end of the trailer I get:

There are action moments, introspective moments, touching moments, and plenty of funny moments. The writing is excellent and the acting totally believable. Unlike Star Trek's "forehead of the week" mentality, the alien races generally fall into two categories: humans with slight makeup, or extremely impressive practical effects - prosthetics, puppets, etc. All in all, a solid, solid show.

though some of them have minor modifications, they are ALL very interesting and distinctive(well, save Peacekeepers, but they look purly human)
The only problem with Farscape is that starting around the end os S2 it gets VERY indepth, making it so that you need to watch everything in order or you will start with the:
WTH Happened to xxx char?
Where the heck is yyy char?
Wait, what is going on with him? why is he good/evil.
why the heck is scorpie showing up at random points.
Basicaly, it reminds me of an anime, in the sense that there is actualy a cohesive polot, that realy moves along.

Though out of curiosity, did you start from the begining?cuz if not that was the problem. Farscape's one BIG problem is that if you try and just jump in, it sucks. You don't know the chars, and thus don't understand wth is going on. You don't get why people start alking with helum voices every now and then, you don't know who the heck sparky realy is (Aside from creapy), etc etc etc.
God, I can't wait for this.

That was part of the reason it was cancelled. Its hard to get new viewers with a show that requires you to see all of the episodes. I mean, if you saw some of the earlier Scorpius episodes, then stopped watching for a year, you'd be very WT<span style='color:sky'>F</span> Mate-ish if you saw John talking to Harvey. Whereas shows like Stargate-SG1 could be easily picked up on, because the only story elements are either Daniel is back/gone, and the Go'uld are bad.
And the Asgard don't have pants. Or genitals. Which I guess is the reason for the lack of pants.

Been waiting for this ever since the horrid ending of season 4.
I got both my flatmates hooked on Farscape as well despite one of them outright saying he thought it was crap when he first saw it on TV a while ago <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

I thought those were one of the alien races we have already seen:
1) Remember the people that capture rigel and stick him in a pit of stuff like cement.
They use a gauntlet powered by some sorta drug that alowes them to be all badd ***ed and shoot bolts outa their hands.
Chriton nabs one, and goes after Rigel, while Dargo has been shot and Aron Sun has already tried ussing the gauntlet (leaving her drained). This is the first time we learn about Dargo's people's healing abilities (beat em till the blood runs clear)
2) They srota remind me of the bounty hunter/dog people (remember, the fat mechanic that Chriton gets to work on his ship on the desert planet)
hmmm, I tihnk there was one more that they reminded me of, though it is the forst ones that I think it is.
