...and I was about two hours into the shift (I'm a Kitchen Porter) and decide I ought to go to the upper kitchen and clear the dishes up there .So I head up, load the machine and switch it on. It didn't have any cleaning chemical in it so it beeped really, really loudly for a few seconds. No biggie, I switch it off and start heading out to get some when a manager runs in. Sharp, but hushed tone. "Keep the noise down! We've got a live TV interview going on right now!".

The interview was with an actress who had down's syndrome and it was on Sky News I think.
