Ah, the joys of starting college. Orientation is great, especially when one of the guys on your floor gets busted for drinking in the dorms before classes even ****ing start. Woot.
Weirdness aside, it's been a great start. Classes start tomorrow; while I'm not looking forward to calc kicking my hiney again, I can't say I am all that worried, either. There are plenty of smart guys on the floor I can get the homew - er, help on the homework from. If all else fails, I've got money to spend on a tutor.
Getting good gaming time in is going to be a nightmare, but I knew that already. I spent orientation getting Half-Life set up for everyone on the floor, for which most were indeed quite grateful. Unfortunately, the greatest fruit of my labor has been a 24/7 fy_iceworld2k server set up for our dorm. Discouraging, yes, but it's a step forward from online flash poker.
To wrap this up, don't expect to much of me for a while. Dorm life has a habit of consuming even the most hopelessly addicted gamers, and I am afraid that I am no exception.
P.S. - Shaolin Soccer is possibly the coolest movie I've seen all year.
