100% Accurate Crosshairs

I have sought throughout the rel topic and search itself for all weapon accurate Crosshairs. I've noticed with the default LMG crosshair, for example, where the spread is, is actually smaller than the crosshair itself. Size also differs with the HMG. I'm simply looking for all of those to get accurate representation(shotgun and GL included- though for GL, I'd reccomend getting rid of that rather pointless lob-reach for the crosshair.

If these have been done before(for more than just the sg), please guide me to a link, because I've had lots of trouble, and not found any.

I appreciate what I can get from you, and keep up the good work around here <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/wink-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

for that you need a dynamic crosshair like in DoD, Tour of Duty or Battleground. A static crosshair is never realy accurate.

ns is all laser accurate isnt it? no REAL recoil at all, the bullet holes you see on your screen are fakes generated by the client. i thought ns didnt actually have spread :o

anyways, hmmm, i havent seen any cept the shotty one.

Yeah, I think fatal is correct. I myself use these:

Nice crosshairs. And Fatal is right, to a degree, I believe. The LMG and HMG have small spread (I think the HMG's is a bit greater, but I'm not sure), but it's barely enough to make a difference unless you're shooting at a skulk across the map.

EDIT: The closest thing to 100% accurate, in my opinion, would be a circle crosshair (for the L/HMG), the dots one for the shotgun, and any old crosshair for the pistol and GL.

No, the weapons are not laser accurate- there is a spread, though with the LMG it is VERY small(as I said, smaller than crosshair), and with HMG, I believe it is actually slightly BIGGER than it's crosshair. Pistol is generally fine, and I've got a good shotty one, but the LMG and HMG ones are definately needed.

Just get a bunch of circle based crosshairs, if the alien is inside the circle you're generally going to hit. D:

Hmm, I've been meaning to do this for myself for awhile now, I had done it in TFC, and now that I see someone else would like them perhaps I'll get to it. Rather bored tonight anyway. <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/sad-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

edit: Well something occured to my while I was working and went to verify it. Because crosshairs as a static size, they can only be accurate for one resolution setting. Higher res the crosshairs will be smaller, lower res they will be bigger. I'm running at 1024x768 so thats what I'll be making these for. Perhaps I'll do a simple enlargement of them for other resolutions but we'll see.

Just use a small, easy to reference crosshair for spread weapons - visually ideal is a cross for example. The goal is not to aim inside the CoF, but have maximum coverage of the target - which is best achieved under all circumstances by having the center of the CoF on target.

Spread crosshairs for anything except static firing patterns are silly - as the absolute size of the spread at the target depends on your distance to it. However as long as you're centered it will always be inside the cone, so again the whole issue is pointless. This isn't CS where you have a vertical recoil pattern - only a cone emanating from the firing point in which bullets are randomly spawned.

Blah, I can't make anything decent looking, so most likely there won't be any crosshairs out of me.

I like using accura-aim crosshairs. Just don't extract the grenadegun text for the gl.
