Anyway, if you want to impress people, use the phrase "Ore wa denwa desu" as a polite way to introduce yourself.
uh... not sure what 'ore' is but assuming it's meant to be 'are' why would he want to say "that's a telephone!" to people? XD
A proper introduction would be "Hajimashite" which means 'pleased to meet you' ^^ Throw "dozo yoroshiku" on the end of whatever your introduction is as well... it means "please favour me" which roughly equates to you asking them to think well of you.

One of my marine roomates went to Japan a couple weeks ago for 3 weeks of Counter Sniper training.
His unit went and climbed Mt. Fuji.
Its really neato, they even give you, you own personalised staff. As you climb higher up in the mountain there are checkpoints were they engrave a special mark into your staff so you can prove that you actually did it.
Recommend you be in really good shape to do it though.

Food... omg the food.
Hold on, you've eaten chocolate covered fire logs?
And if you go the picking up hawt japanese girls route, make sure you use the greeting "Atashi katai hakebune no otoko ga suki!".
Also pocky is possibly a good enough excuse for going to Japan, make sure you stock up.
