I already posted a rar package a while back to give images at higher quality as your Steam background for your games. I decided to make a tutorial page on it how to make default background pages and custom pages such as a pic with a resolution of 1024x768.

Or you can use the HL Steam background creator : <a href='http://www.custom-tfc.co.uk/SteamBG.zip' target='_blank'>http://www.custom-tfc.co.uk/SteamBG.zip</a>

Load any 800x600 image and click "Create Clipped TGAs". The images are created within the same directory as the application, just copy&paste to your desired mod\resource\background folder.

Yea, that link does 800x600 automatically. But what if you want 1024x768 picture on ur 1024x768 Resolution so the picture doesn't look like crap? That is what the Advanced part of the tutorial is for.

It explains how to make it so you can use images above 1024x768.

Tutorial moved to customization help and troubleshooting (where the other tutorials are <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo--> )
