When I run my own server, I can't harm the hive by shooting. I can knife it easily, but shooting does nothing. Sparks just like hitting a wall. No blood.
Anyone any suggestions? I'm running whichbot and RCbot, when I play on another server I have no problem killing things. Some command I'm missing? Something to do with bots? Thanks if you can help!

type sv_cheats 1 in the console when you start your server, and it will start the game.
How come I can get in the CC and drop buildings, issue waypoints, etc, and have them built? Also, I can knife the hive easily enough, kill enemy aliens, other structures...
The game has definitely started, my bots are doing their thing... but when I try and smack the hive about with a gun.. nothing.
Still nothing. I can knife the hive for damage but shooting does not harm it.
I have no clue what else to check. Help?
can you pls post some details on your sever? windows/linux? steam/non? hl server version? mods loaded? meta list output. amx list output.
all of that is needed to make some sense of what's going on on your server.
I'm just running NS, and in the steam menu selecting Create LAN Server.
Thats about all I know. I had Whichbot and RCbot in, but still when I changed the DLL back to the NS one I couldn't shoot the hive.
I *am* using a hive custom model, but I don't think thats the problem, as I can knife it ok, just not shoot. Even if I spray the entire thing with bullets all over, no blood.
Windows, Steam, latest HL according to steam, latest NS according to the site.
