either the server isn't updated, or more likely you didn't follow the <a href='http://www.natural-selection.org/downloads.html' target='_blank'>patch directions</a> correctly.

Why isn't there just one file to download and install? i mean that would be possible to do that wouldn't it?? And it would stop 20 posts of this type a day being made in random forums by people with 1 post.

If someone wanted to take it upon themsevles to do this, more power to them. But since we're currently in Beta, client-side pacthes are a little more frequent than in the previous (read: non-public beta) builds.

I doubt it would be a problem to compile all the files into one installer, but it also wouldn't hurt to ask first.

And for future reference, topics like this belong in the Tech Support forum.

When 3.0 final is released, it will use only 1 install file. Since 3.0 is in beta, there are alot more things to concentrate on than getting one full installation file compiled, not to mention that its constantly changing so it wouldn't be viable to have you download some 50 meg file every patch release.
