Just a few things that would improve upon the greatness that's already there.

First, sort the dodgy pings - im on adsl and everyone (including myself) has pings of or more 700 on all servers (tho the lag in general doesnt seem too bad for me).

Second, (keep in mind i aint really played as aliens yet .. but will today) i think when playing as marines (not commander) there doesnt seem to be much teamwork, and i personally seem to end up by myself in the alien's evil lair calling for back up, ammo and health - and half the time no one (including the commander) knows where the hell i am. A radar would fix this problem.
Also using speech messages ("awaiting orders", "roger that", etc) need to be displayed cos no one knows who the hell is saying wot and where they are.

I have tried playing as commander - and personally found it to get very stressful. Players constantly calling for ammo while in battle and they are not highlighted on the map, so by the time you find where they are, they're already dead. On top of this your trying to build things and set waypoints - i dont see a problem with having two commanders at the same time (to reduce stress)

Anyway i think that's about it for now, if i come up with anything else i'll let ya know <!--emo&:D--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':D'><!--endemo-->
