    i doublt any skinner will get near those meshes. 6 meshes for something so small is a LOT, and the ammount of wasted space scares the few skinners willing to help away.

    There is a specific color scheme, however TSA colors will do just as well. My reference is Intron Depot Ballistics... I could probably scan and crop a picture, but it's no big deal. I wouldn't mind seeing it in TSA green garb <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo--> *hides so sheena doesn't beat him*

    1 mesh for the upper long part
    1 mesh for the lower long part
    1 mesh for the clip
    1 mesh for the grip
    + all the other small stuff put around those parts which <b>need</b> their own meshes to save a bit of quality for the skin.
    The 2 small parts got seperated because of the transparency that will be used there.
    Yeah, this can REALLY be optimized.... not. If it can, tell me, instead just saying "It sux".

    did i say it sucks? i just said that 6 meshes were too many for such a small model. try saving some space, it'll help and it will get modelers to gain interest on the moel faster.e, i have a galil MAR sitting on my Hard Drive because nobody wanted to skin the meshes i did

    if you ask me: upper, lower, grip on the same mesh. the rest on another mesh, maybe 2

    And noone would skin that because you don't have enough space to put any details without being able to see every single pixel because 512 for such a long gun... = no detail

    no, the reason why nobody would skin it is because they have to start the base texture <b><i>6</i></b> times, where they could only do it only twice. skinning is a hard process specially getting the base texture to look the way you want it to, and doing that 6 timers will **** off the skinners.

    Actually, it's only 2 times. 1 and 2 contain more "seperate" parts, you'd only need your "basic skintone" stuff for 5 and 6.

    If someone will convert this to a MDL I will DEFINATELY skin it, right away.     The mesh is fine, some small parts are a little funky, but its fine overall. # meshes is actually good, because I can put more details in.
