<div class="IPBDescription">Or, "OMG MUST BAI!"</div> 1. Fable
I know what your all thinking. "OMG HL@ COMETH OUT SEWN!"- frankly, a RPG hasn't gotten me this excited since Kingdom Hearts. This is like the combat of KH, with the free will and maturity of Morrowind(with Cockny accents). I just love the idea, the combat model looks great, and the fact that I can make any choice I want is fun, not to mention that the art is loosely based off of anime-ish styles excites me. It definately takes the cake.
2. Halo 2
Another before HL2 you ask? Well, I've always been a sucker for story, and with how much I know about the world of Halo, and what Halo 2 has in store, I can't help but be oh-so-very-excited about this. I really don't care about its MP, but its SP looks just AMAZING for both variety, and just FUN, with a intelligent story.
3. Half-Life 2
The obvious one. This thing looks amazing, we all know. Sure, the release date has been pushed pretty far, but hey, it looks wonderful, gameplay wise. No reason to drag in on this one.
4. Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas
Now this one, this has me interested. Inputting so many RP elements into a full on action game, expanding the world to be 10 TIMES bigger than Vice City, with 3 seperate cities with countryside in between- it sounds just great. I've always wanted to be a gangster in the back of my mind, just live the life for a while. This will really allow it, with me able to pick and choose my gang members, choose who I want for house raids, sell drugs, buy drugs, same with cars, the whole deal. It sounds like its offerring a complete experience.
5. Burnout 3
Frankly, this has to be the only driving game I've truly been excited about...ever. The graphics are amazing, the damage model is holy crap good, and the new expanded race mode, and expanded crash mode, just sound absolutly orgasmic for my destructive little mind.
6. Final Fantasy XI: Chains of Promathia
Sure, no classes. No new races. But what you say? Well, lets see: 125+ new zones to a game I already love as one of my favorite games of all time. A promise of "Hundreds" of new quests, "Many of Which involve the main story of the game", as well as the heralding of the European release of the game, which will grant the opening of the 100% main piece of the story. Just...looks great.
7. Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines
Just a already amazing engine being put to use in a RPG, and made by Troika, a great team. I love what I've seen of the game already, from its obvious heavy use of very adult things, to its full abandonment of realism for gameplay(A magnum won't kill a vampire? Pfft IRL, but these types of vamps are quick...)
8. The Sims 2
Who wouldn't get excited at the idea of being able to grow pot, spy on your neighbors, and maybe get cought for it and watch the hilarious results? Frankly to me, this game looks amazing based purely on its ability to totally do the eeeevil thing <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' /><!--endemo-->
9. Dead or Alive: Ultimate
A fighting game, FINALLY gone online, by the maker of Ninja Gaiden. The multiplayer modes are generic, though, I absolutely LOVE how Ninja Gaiden played, so this may seal the deal for me on getting XBox live finally. I love the entire DOA playstyle, and the fact their including DOA 2 in the deal is just wonderfully great.
10. Entropy
A mod much like DOOM's so far- proof of concept. They plan on making it all into a full on game, but before that, comes a massively multiplayer shooter RPG thats like a combo of GTA3, V:TM-B(earlier on this list), and putting it on a 1000+ player server, AND with a SP mod coming out on the Far Cry engine(MP is for HL2). Everything I've seen and heard on it is amazing- lets see if this thing can prove itself. It may be a mod, and sure, its REALLY ambitious- but NS was too.

... even the F.E.A.R trailer was creepy and the quality sucked. The child that just appears out of no where. ah!
1. H2
2. STALKER
3. MGS3
and then the other games that everyone's looking forward to <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->

EDIT: My mistake - They must've recently announced this becaue I've never heard it, but they're saying 2005 for a PC / XBOX version. In Rockstar-speak that means they're going to completely neglect the product for a year before they do the ardourus task of converting it over...
God I can't wait for the PS2 to freaking DIE.

You do know all the DOA games were made by the same company right >.< and to top that off there called Team Ninja which made DOA (all) and Ninja Gaiden

Agreed...... Burnout 2 was an awesome game, and if they've improved on it as much as they say they have, then roll on this game <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' /><!--endemo-->
And my reason for not including MGS3 is this: It seems much too gimmicky, and Kojima honestly seems to be losing his flare. I mean, honestly, snake roaring wildly while firing wildly at a enemy we can't see? Isn't that a bit too generic, a bit too...STUPID, for Solid Snake? Or really, ANY of the characters(Big Boss, Liquid, any of 'em). That doesn't make sense, the camouflage engine, while being a nice idea, and while I'm sure will work great, there is a problem that the MGS series has always had, of exceptionally stupid guards, that can't see 15 feet in front of them. And frankly, with the new FP mode, it wouldn't be too hard to just shoot my way through the whole thing like in Twin Snakes. Basically, MGS3 has the potential to be great, if done right, but I haven't seen any signs pointing to that.
And yes Hibame, I know they created all the DOA games, along with NG, and I know their studio by name also. But if their most recent is the awesome NG, why should I care about the others?
Also, for those that care, after those 10, it ends at 12- 11 goes to Kingdom Hearts 2, and 12 is Brothers in Arms(yes, I'm as impressed with that as anyone else).
Most anticipated games are Shenmue Online and PSO DS (still a rumour, but with online Wi-Fi? Gurgle.)
~dreams~
oh... yeah... um... Guilty Gear XX: Reloaded (it's online and allows up to 4 players at once. Also has a platform game in it o.O ).
*If you have an Xbox.
2) Halo 2? If you didn't have this on your list, you would die.
3) HL2? Duh.
4) GTA:SA? I'm not too much of a GTA fan, but why not.
5) Burnout 3? Crash mode. 'nuff said. <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' /><!--endemo-->
6) FF XI? Final Fantasy. 'nuff said part II. <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif' /><!--endemo-->
7) Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines? Heck yeah.
8) Sims 2? Not for me.
9) DOA:U? Ayane. 'nuff said part III. <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->
10) Entropy? Never heard of it, actually...
Is there an Animal Crossing sequel coming out? If so, add that.
