<div class="IPBDescription">How's it look?</div> Ok, I just wanted some feedback on somethign I'm trying... it's supposed to provide a good ambush point for aliens and mariens alike... just wanted to know what you all thought


This is near Marine Start, in the left hand hallway leading out from there.... just a note, not all the texturing is complete (obviously)

    It's waayyyy too bright on the outside. And why is the glass opaque? It just doesn't make sense. (Yes I know its a "one way window", but opaque glass just doesn't make sense).

    Make the seethrough side far more transparent. For the solid side, make it into a func_wall and just set it to render normally, but have it null on the opposite side. Hopefully it won't look fullbright like that.

    Damn... it was fine till the blackout... the whole area lost power for about 5 min... that shouldn't affect it tho 0o'

    Look at the bottom and top of the window especially the texure used underneath it (the ceiling texture is probably going to be changed, or at least I think so <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' /><!--endemo--> ). At the moment the window is running trough some lines on those textures which look kind of odd.

    Yeah, ceiling texturing I'm just starting now

    As for the running into the lines, I'll look into that now



    looked at it, can't quite tell what you mean, unless you mean the angle at which it covers the line... not much I can do about that without loosing the arching apearance... or am I mis-understanding what you mean?

    I looked at it closely... the glass extended down thru the floor a little, is that what you meant? I fixed that, as well as textured some of the ceiling, still working on it (texturing isn't my strong point)

    *edit #2* well, I've done the texturing, going to compile now and re-take the screenshots

    this is what I ment -->

    - red line the window
    - green lines the lines in the texture which the window is not following... Running trough them, which looks bad
