The latest Steam update says: "Improved lag compensation for the player with the last player slot (ie. player 10 on a 10 player server)" But it only updated CS and CZ. Does that mean the update won't fix the PSHB bug in other games?

Voogru and Elven have been working really hard to find and fix the 'hitbox' bug (which really has nothing to do with hitboxes)"
The other showstopper was a listenserver crash bug. I'm sure they're working on getting that resolved before release. Plus a lot of fixes had problems integrating or just didn't work for some reason. Cut them some slack, these are coders putting their hands on the NS code for the first time, the fact that they've already done as much as they have is amazing. And always read the bug tracker.
If you guys haven't read the bugtracker already, scan a few of the pages (back to page 3-4 or so) and you'll be amazed by how many have been tagged "resolved" (green fill) for B5 release.
I get the feeling that B5 went something like this:
A: "NS is kinda unbalanced right now, it could use fixing." B: "Well, there are a lot of bugs hindering that..." A: "Okay, let's gear B5 towards a less buggy and more easily balanced game." B: "Well, I'll start with thie bug..." B: "Look at that one! I can fix that..." B: "Gimme a second, fixing this bug would be really cool..." B: "Showstopper bug found. Gotta delay release. While C is working on it, let me check this bug..." B: "I'm on a roll! 58 resolved and only 250 to go!" B: "Don't release it yet! I'm working on this bug, and fixing it would be really neat..."
And before you know it, you have dozens more bugs fixed than you had planned for in the first place.
There is going to be alot changed to NS in the next patch I belive
Maybe even some portion of the BUS? or something to do with custom icons? we will see

B5 will come out when the current devs SAY its ready to come out. I hate the fact you guys keep bashing them for delaying it- they weren't the ones that set that date from before. If you want it coming out sooner, learn C++ and talk to Flayra, cause this doesn't help
i never bashed them. im not saying they are stupid or anything or they are slow. i was jsut saying that since they were GOING to release it, all the major bugs i assumed, were squashed. the only thing holding them back was pshb and the crash thingie. since pshb is fixed, they could release it now, then when they find a solution to the crash fix, release another patch.
Meh. It always boils down to "It will be ready when it's ready".
No matter when it's released, it's going to be big, it's going to be bug free, and play tested to the full.

It's early, so sorry if someone already said this.
Valve are trying to fix the phsb bug within the netcode/engine itself, therefore, the ns patch has nothing to do with it. (for those of you who are confused still)
I'm not entirely sure if the new patch has fixed it on 3rd party mods, but i suppose you can test it
