    I had that same problem when I changed the origin of the DooM 3 AR to be more accurate to the original in Doom 3, and it resulted in the muzzleflash covering 90% of the crosshair.
    I fixed it by using the welder sprite as a muzzleflash (although it looks a little weird).
    Find welderfire.spr or something and change it to muzzleflash1.spr

    Then if they can be moddeled in, how sick would it be to have 3d muzzle flashes...sorta like in dod, cept....on the model?

    Muzzleflashes are sprites, not models. They don't have polygons, they're simple 2D images. <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo--> <!--QuoteEnd--></td></tr></table><div class='postcolor'><!--QuoteEEnd-->
    Please be kind enough to refer to the <a href='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=77440&view=findpost&p=1184918' target='_blank'>post made by Maus immediately before my post</a>, which you are quoting me from. Thank you.

    I've been watching that thread and waiting for this one to be closed. I simply have nothing to say in it that hasn't already been said.

    When using transparency you can keep modeled muzzle flashes really low poly. The animating of the bones is what hurtz <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    Ive been working on 3d muzzle flashes for quite some time now, and trust me, I have better ways of doing it than making it part of the model.

    search in google, its easier to use sprite veiwer & sprite wizard than milkshape, u can also decomplile the animations somewhere quicker.
