<div class="IPBDescription">and "suckable" cd drive</div> I'm building a new pc but for the drives I want "suckable" drives, like a car cd player, where you put the cd on the edge of the opening and it sucks it in.

I looked everywhere but I'm unable to find these 'suckable' drives, anyone have advice?

Pioneer used to make a few of those drives, but from what I've heard they'd break easily and damage the discs. They aren't around anymore for a reason <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    Here's some sale locations:

    <a href='http://store.yahoo.com/pcpartscollection/pion16xdvdan.html' target='_blank'>PC Partscollection</a>
    <a href='http://www.flintech.com/products_dvd_cdrom.htm#pioneer' target='_blank'>Flintech</a>

Hmm. Apparently they're hard to find. Good luck.

hm if they get discs stuck and damage them, then why do they work fine in cars? <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif' /><!--endemo--> is there just more room in a car's dashboard to make a more complicated CD player macheen?

I'm sure there must be a reason they're not generally in computers... I just hope they fix the reason because I want one too <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif' /><!--endemo-->

That has never happened with my PIONEER DVD-ROM DVD-105 drive. Its awesome. Its probably the only piece of hardware that has never given me problems in my computer.
