but... I am planning on making a knife to destroy the will to use any other knife model in existance, one that combines both a nice new model, and animations to sent skulks recoilling back into their dark holes at one glance of this knife...

So, I present to you my currently 2 hour WIP, the Hero's Blade:

ok, so nothing impressive yet, not to mention that there are some texture misalignments, but this is only a test export for the model itself, the final version will be adjusted so there are no misalignments... as well as teh uber animations...

hint: I'm putting about 6+ bones in this knife model...

hmm...lookin' good...perhaps you could shorten it by 1/3 to make it the size of a machette, we already have a katana and some combat knives, now all we are missing are some mid-length blades...

heh, thanks, and yes I intend to do a cel-shaded version as well, just like I did with that axe...

as for the length, no, this will remain a full size sword, and the katana is nothing...
this > 100 katanas... it shall hopefully soon be apparent why...

this sword is a hybrid Scimitar-Kotetsu, with the brutal curvaceous tear of a scimitars slash, and the piercing blow of a kotetsu's thrust, and weight

this will NOT be standard hack and slash animations...

It's looking good. Though from the looks of it, it's not looking too futuristic. Ok... I'm back, but I will not be able to resume work until tommorrow on the sword, as I have been partying since friday night... rockville regatta ! whooo!
its basically like a mardi gras, on the water, with more readily accessible booze, and more tanned blondes... anyway, I'm having a bit of trouble keeping track of the text on my monitor at the moment, since i haven't stopped drinking since friday night, so I won't be expecting to get anything done tonight...
